Are They Right For You
1. GOLDENS ARE HUNTERS
The dog was developed in the 1800's as a specialized hunter to retrieve waterfowl and bring
the intact bird back to the hunter. Living with goldens in todays world means daily strenuous execise isn't an option, its
a necessity. With there highly developed soft mouth they love countersurfing, [raiding kitchen counters for food], their scavenging
and mouthiness all correlate to its talents as a great hunting companion. I'm trying to train them to find my car keys, no
luck yet!
2. GOLDENS NEED COMPANY
No golden will exercise by itself, it needs its human companion as its exercise buddy.
Goldens are a team member, and goldens do not like to be left alone alot. They enjoy lots of attention from their people.
If they don't get the attention, they will find ways to demand it. Take them wherever you go. There always a hit in PetSmart.
3. GOLDENS ARE ORAL
They love to have something in there mouth, be it your new slippers, favorite shirt or
your fingers. This seems to happen most when a golden is bored. Its an oral obsessiveness that needs to be redirected.
More toys and less woodwork make for a happy family. Fetch is the name of the game.
4. GOLDENS ARE TEACHABLE
Despite the goldens intense energy level, need to be with people, and desire to mouth
everything, this breed is supremely teachable. Goldens not only excel in hunting and conformation but also in the dog sports
of agility and obedience. They're among the breeds most frequently employed as service dogs and for search and rescue.

providing quality AKC Registered Golden Retrievers to loving homes. A symmetrical, powerful, active dog, sound and well put
together, not clumsy, displaying a kindly expression and possessing a personality that is eager, alert and self-confident.
Friendly, reliable, and trustworthy. Quarrelsomeness or hostility
towards other dogs or people in normal situations, or an unwarranted show of timidity or nervousness, is not in keeping with
the Golden Retriever character. Goldens make one of the best family pets. They are just a great all around dog.
